For those interested, please be advised that the Judicial Council
of California will be holding an all-day training on May 22,
2025, for current and prospective adult competency to stand trial
evaluators. This training will be held both in person at the
Judicial Council Sacramento Offices and streamed via online
webinar.
The training will cover beginner and advanced topics regarding
how to write competency evaluations, foundations of competency
evaluations and legal, logistical & ethical requirements of
conducting evaluations.
Prior experience conducting competency evaluations is not
required. Any licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, or students
who may have an interest in this subject are encouraged to
register.
