Regions and local governments within the San Francisco Bay and
Suisun Marsh have an opportunity to provide feedback to the Bay
Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC). BCDC is a coastal
protection agency and ensures that projects and activities are
consistent with the policies of the Bay Plan and state law.
BCDC is conducting a survey to help prioritize important
coastal management issue areas for the San Francisco Bay and
Suisun Marsh. Survey results will be used as a
guide to improve BCDC’s Coastal Management
Program for the next five years from
2026-2030. To answer the survey, click here.
BCDC is creating a five-year “Assessment and Strategy” (A&S)
to guide its program development and strengthen and improve its
operations and will cover the years 2026-2030. BCDC has just
started this process and stakeholders will have an opportunity to
submit public comment on the Draft A&S in spring 2025.
