CARE Act: Upcoming Training and Technical Assistance

For those interested, CSAC is sharing information about upcoming training and technical assistance for the CARE Act.

NEXT WEEK: The Referral Process to CARE Training and Subsequent Open-Forum – March 18 and March 19 at 12 p.m.

County behavioral health (BH) and system partners are invited to the Referral Process to CARE training and open-forum scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 and Wednesday, March 19 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. PT. The training provides an overview of the referral process for statutory CARE referrals from Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) designated facilities and court-to-court referrals, as well as referrals from community partners and family members. The open-forum will include a panel discussion on current processes and strategies that can be replicated. Confirmed panelists include representatives from Alameda, Napa, Sonoma, and Sutter counties.

Assessment Activities in CARE Training and Subsequent Open-Forum – March 26 and March 27 at 11 a.m.

County BH agencies are invited to the Assessment Activities in CARE training and open-forum scheduled for Wednesday, March 26 and Thursday, March 27 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. PT. The training reviews points in the CARE process in which an assessment is made, as well as highlights best practices for completing assessment activities related to CARE. The open-forum will include a panel discussion on current processes and strategies that can be replicated. Confirmed panelists include representatives from Alameda, San Diego, and Yolo counties.
