CDA Offers Free Emergency Preparedness and Aging Resource Guides

The California Department of Aging (CDA) is offering free guides to help communities prepare for and navigate emergencies, as well as connect with aging resources. These resources are available in seven languages: English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese, Armenian, and Tagalog.

In collaboration with the Governor’s Offices of Emergency Services and the Department of Rehabilitation, CDA developed an Emergency Preparedness Guide. This guide includes practical tips and resources to help older adults and people with disabilities prepare for disaster like wildfires, earthquakes, and power outages. The guide can be ordered at no cost at agingcalifornia.org.

CDA is also offering a Wildfire Crisis Recovery Resources Flyer, tailored for both the Los Angeles Region and statewide audiences, to provide information to those impacted by wildfires. The flyer can be downloaded in multiple languages, available here

Finally, CDA is making their Aging Resource Guide available at no cost, which connects older adults, families, caregivers, and professionals with a variety of services and supports. The guide can be ordered at no cost at agingcalifornia.org.
