Changes Proposed to Standards for Juvenile Facilities

The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) has proposed regulatory action(s) to improve conditions in juvenile facilities. The proposal would amend regulations contained in Title 15, Division 1, Chapter 1, Subchapter 5, California Code of Regulations, which is commonly known as the Minimum Standards for Juvenile Facilities.

BSCC has not yet scheduled a public hearing on this proposed action. However, the BSCC will hold a hearing if it receives a written request for a public hearing from any interested person, or his or her authorized representative, no later than 15-days before the close of the written comment period.

Anyone interested may submit written comments relevant to the proposed regulatory action to the BSCC. The written comment period closes at 5:00 pm on May 21, 2018.
