The County Medical Services Program (CMSP) Governing Board has
released its Request for Proposals (RFP) for the CMSP Local
Indigent Care Needs (LICN) Grant Program for CMSP counties
that have not already received funding. The RFP and all
associated documents have been posted on the CMSP Governing
Board’s website here.
The LICN Program will award one-time funding of up to $50,000 per
project (up to $75,000 for multi-county projects) to counties for
Planning Project Grants. For Implementation Program Grants, the
LICN Program will award up to $500,000 per year for a three-year
period. Efforts funded by the LICN Program must target persons
uninsured or underinsured within one of the 16 CMSP eligible
counties. The Lead Agency applicant must be either a CMSP county
or a not-for-profit organization.
LICN Grants may support county-specific or multi-county efforts
to:
Promote timely delivery of necessary medical, behavioral
health and support services to locally identified target
populations.
Link these populations to other community resources and
support; and
Improve overall health outcomes.
Proposals will be accepted starting September 1,
2021. Proposals must be received by the CMSP Governing
Office no later than Thursday, September 30, 2021 at
3:00 PM.
To assist potential applicants with the RFP process, Governing
Board staff will conduct four webinars. Applicants are encouraged
to attend at webinars.
