CPUC BEAD Challenge Process Webinar Series

May 2, 2024

CSAC staff would like to share that the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) will host a second webinar series, BEAD Challenge Portal Pre-Registration, Tier D/E CostQuest Licenses, and Portal Overview, on May 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The webinar’s focus is the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Challenge Process.

The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program Challenge Process allows stakeholders the opportunity to contribute to the development of the FCC Broadband Map by submitting data to determine whether a broadband location should be categorized as served, unserved, or underserved for BEAD funding eligibility.

Attending this webinar will give attendees practical knowledge on how to prepare for the Challenge Process. This includes obtaining a Tier D or Tier E CostQuest license, acquiring an FCC FRN, pre-registering for the represented organization in the challenge portal, understanding the challenge portal, and submitting a challenge. These steps are crucial for your active participation in the Bead Challenge Process.
