Strengthening Response Muscles 2025
CSAC Institute is excited to offer the alumni program Strengthening Response Muscles 2025 once again! As the political landscape changes, so too does the environment for those in public service, often bringing increased visibility. Sometimes this visibility is desirable, supporting communities and good governance. However, rhetoric and misinformed positions can create environments of threats and intimidation to those simply doing their jobs. This program is designed to help elected county officials and senior executives bolster response approaches, creating space between the event and action. The program focuses largely on self-awareness and self-management, reinforcing disciplined techniques to exercise self-control and increase intentionality.
This virtual program costs $1,000 per participant and both CSAC credential holders and NACo’s Leadership Academy grads are eligible to enroll. Space is limited. Please register here: California State Association of Counties (CSAC). Registering for this program enrolls participants in all five-part series. Session dates are:
- April 4, 2025: How Understanding Workplace Trauma Can Make You a More Effective Leader with Melissa Hankins, MD
- April 17, 2025: Assertive Communication with Marcy Porus-Gottlieb
- May 02, 2025: Understanding Emotions with Glenn Fox, PhD
- May 16, 2025: Courageous Leadership with Ana Estrada Daniels
- May 29, 2025: Keeping Your Cool with Rueben Brock, PhD
