The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has released the
finalized version of the
Behavioral Health Services Act County Policy Manual Module 1,
which is the first set of guidance to counties for implementing
the Behavioral Health Transformation requirements as detailed in
the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA).
The manual is being released in multiple phases, called
“modules,” and provides information on county planning,
reporting, and fiscal requirements, as well as BHSA service and
program implementation requirements. The manual is rolling out on
a new digital platform and is available
here. Additional content will be added as future modules are
finalized.
