The Board of Forestry and Fire Protection is hosting
informational webinars on the Fire Risk Reduction Community List
Process. The Fire Risk Community List is a list maintained
by the Board that identifies “local agencies located in a state
responsibility area or a very high fire hazard severity
zone…that meet best practices for local fire planning.”
Agencies on the list are prioritized when local assistance grant
funding applications are reviewed for awards. The list is updated
every two years.
The webinar will provide a basic overview of the Fire Risk
Community List process and will cover the history, use, benefits,
timeline and basic criteria for applying. The same information
will be presented at each of the dates in January. A webinar
specifically for covering the application criteria in depth,
including examples, will take place at a later time.
