New Medication-Assisted Treatment RFA to Open March 24

March 20, 2025

On Monday, March 24, 2025, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will release a third round of Request for Applications (RFA) for eligible residential substance use disorder (SUD) facilities to implement, expand, and improve access to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Funding from this program will assist with start-up costs and support recruitment, mentorship, training, and other associated costs to increase provider knowledge and comfort with providing MAT through a collaborative learning opportunity. The program will run from July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2027.  Licensed and certified substance use disorder treatment facilities, including residential facilities, must implement and maintain a comprehensive MAT policy approved by DHCS, ensuring access to Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved medications for substance use disorders.

For more information, please visit the MAT Access Points Project website. CSAC staff will share the RFA in the next CSAC Bulletin once the RFA becomes available next week.
