The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will open the
application window for Round 4 of the Providing Access and
Transforming Health (PATH) Capacity and Infrastructure
Transition, Expansion, and Development (CITED) on Monday,
January 6, 2025. The PATH CITED initiative
provides funding to build the capacity and infrastructure of
on-the-ground partners, including county agencies,
community-based organizations (CBO), hospitals, Tribes, and
others, to successfully participate in Medi-Cal. The deadline to
submit applications for PATH CITED Round 4 funding will be 11:59
p.m. PST on March 7, 2025.
To assist prospective applicants prepare the resources and
information required to complete their application ahead of the
funding window opening, DHCS has published the PATH CITED Round 4
application outline and
funding request workbook. Prospective applicants are also
encouraged to review the
CITED Round 4 Guidance Document before applying.
PATH CITED Round 4 Webinars
DHCS will host a PATH CITED Round 4 Information Session on
Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 11:30 am. All
organizations seeking to apply for PATH CITED Round 4 funding are
strongly encouraged to attend. The information session will
provide an overview of the PATH CITED Round 4 application
process, including how to apply and answer frequently asked
questions.

applying for funding, DHCS will host two webinars following the
opening of the application window:
The first webinar, “How to Make Your Grant Application
Stronger Part 1,” will take place on Thursday, January
16, 2025, at 10:00 am. This webinar will explain what
applicant reviewers look for when scoring applications, share
tips for writing a strong grant application, and clarify the
funding goals for PATH CITED Round 4.

The second webinar, “How to Make Your Grant Application
Stronger Part 2,” will take place on Monday, February 3,
2025, at 10:00 am. This webinar will explain how to use
the Funding Request Workbook, clarify DHCS guidelines and
restrictions, and share strategies for creating a budget.
