The California Department of Housing and Community Development
(HCD) has proposed to modify the text of proposed regulations
that establish the Prohousing Designation Program. Specifically,
HCD is proposing to modify the following sections to title 25,
division 1, chapter 6, subchapter 6.6 of the California Code of
Regulations:
Sections 6601, 6604, 6605, 6606, 6607, and 6608.
These proposed modifications are available on the
Prohousing Designation Program’s webpage and were made after
HCD considered written comments regarding the proposed permanent
Prohousing Designation Program regulations received during the
45-day public comment period that ended March 23, 2022. The
modifications are necessary to further clarify the intent of the
proposed regulatory text and to make the requirements consistent
throughout the regulations. Text proposed to be added for this

displayed in strikethrough type.
