An informational webinar, Mental Health for ALL: California’s
Behavioral Health Transformation, will take place on
Monday, June 3rd at 2:00 p.m.
Representatives from state agencies and departments will provide
an overview of California’s newly passed Proposition 1, the major
milestones, and how interested stakeholders can stay updated. The
presenting state agencies and departments will include:
California Department of Health and Human Services Agency
(CalHHS)
Department of Health Care Services (DHCS)
Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD)
California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet)
California Association of Local Behavioral Health Boards
and Commissions: Friday, June 21
As part of the CALBHB/C Quarterly Meeting, there will be a
training session entitled “Behavioral Health in California, Past
Present & Future,” on Friday, June 21st from
1:35 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., which will provide a review of
the Behavioral Health Services Act as enacted by Proposition 1
within the context of California’s current and past behavioral
health landscape, including the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA)
as enacted by Proposition 63 (2004).
Registration for the training is open
to all local mental/behavioral health
board/commission members, county
supervisors, and staff. There
is no fee to register.
