The Office of the State Public Defender (OSPD) is excited to open
a new FREE on-demand, online course on the Racial Justice Act
(RJA). Defense counsel can register for this
free course and complete it at their own pace
and convenience, in part or in full. You will learn all the
basics, refresh your knowledge, and stay up to date on RJA
developments! These videos and written materials, collected from
around the state, can be completed to satisfy the 10 hours of
training required to handle RJA habeas petitions, or to complete
a sequences overview of RJA fundamentals, or as a topical
resource to be accessed as questions and issues arise. OSPD will
continue updating this course with additional resources and as
the law develops, so please share feedback on how this course can
better meet your needs.
