On Thursday, August 15th, the Senate and Assembly
Appropriations Committees completed their hearings on bills with
a fiscal impacts, commonly known as the “suspense file day.”
The outcomes of several bills with active positions by the GFA
policy team were decided. Bills that were held in the
appropriations committee are now dead and those that passed out
of committee will soon be considered on the floor of their
respective house. Below is a list of each of the active GFA bills
that were either held or passed out of committee. Asterisks are
included for each bill that passed with amendments.

AB 2061 (Wilson) – Sales and Use Tax: Exemptions: Zero-Emission
Public Transportation Ferries (Support)
*AB 2455 (Gabriel) – Whistleblower Protection: State and Local
Government Procedures (Support)
*AB 2561 (McKinnor) – Local Public Employees: Vacant Positions
(Oppose)
AB 2564 (Boerner) – Property Tax Postponement Program (Support)
