On Friday, June 14 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am PST,
the National Association of Counties (NACo) will host a
webinar on the current state of negotiations on the federal
Farm Bill.
The House and Senate Agriculture Committees have released
competing frameworks for the 2024 Farm Bill. The proposed $1.5
trillion legislative package authorizes federal nutrition
programs, rural development programs, land management authorities
to county governments, and many other programs important to
counties. The House version also includes a three-year
reauthorization of the Secure Rural Schools program.
