Last summer, the California State Treasurer’s Office launched a
quarterly webinar series for local governments to receive updates
and learn more about their programs and resources. The first
quarterly webinar for 2025 is scheduled for Wednesday,
March 19 at 1:00pm. This webinar will cover general
updates from the Treasurer’s Office, the sales tax
exclusion program, and the California Debt and
Investment Advisory Commission’s Education Portal. More

Sales and Use Tax Exclusion (STE) Program
The webinar will include an overview of the Treasurer’s Office’s
sales and
use tax exclusion program, which offers a sales and use tax
exclusion to manufacturers that promote alternative energy and
advanced transportation.
California Debt and Investment Advisory
Commission
The California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission within the
Treasurer’s Office provides information, education, and technical
assistance on debt issuance and public fund investments to local
governments, including publications such as the Local
Agency Investment Guidelines.
