The deadline for prospective Bond BHCIP Round 1 applicants to
request a required pre-application consultation
(PAC) to be eligible to apply for funding is October 15,
2024. The PACs, which are being scheduled through
November 14, 2024, are designed to give applicants the
opportunity to describe their proposed projects, discuss the
intended use of grant funds, and ask questions to the California
Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) staff. Prospective
applicants can request a PAC through the registration link at the
bottom of the
Bond BHCIP Rounds webpage.
DHCS is currently accepting applications for Bond BHCIP Round 1:
Launch Ready grants, for which DHCS will competitively award up
to $3.3 billion in grant funding to projects that expand the
community-based continuum of behavioral health treatment
infrastructure by building facilities and expanding services. The
funding included in Bond BHCIP Round 1 represents over half of
the $6.4 billion in bonds authorized by voters earlier this year
through Proposition 1.
