Updated Opioid Settlement Expenditure Form Coming July 1, Upcoming Webinars

June 6, 2024

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), in collaboration with UCLA’s Integrated Substance Abuse Programs, has created an updated expenditure reporting form for cities and counties to report on the use of opioid settlement funds. The form will open on July 1, 2024, and will close on September 30, 2024. A link to the form will be sent to the listed contacts for each county and city on July 1, 2024.

DHCS will provide a webinar training on the updated expenditure reporting form on Wednesday, June 26 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Participants must register in advance, but a recording and slide deck will be posted on the DHCS opioid settlements webpage shortly after the webinar. Register here.

Additionally, the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) will also host a webinar on June 26 at 12:30 pm PST. The webinar, “Promising Practices for Collaboration on State and Local Opioid Settlement Spending,” is open to the public and will feature speakers from Colorado and North Carolina. Register here.

Additional resources on opioid settlement funds, including Frequently Asked Questions, information on allowable expenditures, and a technical assistance form, is available on the DHCS opioid settlement website.
