The United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH)
will host an interactive webinar on Tuesday, June 4 from
12:00 – 1:00 pm to provide an overview of and answer
questions on the recently released federal guidance, “19
Strategies for Communities to Address Encampments Humanely and
Effectively.” These best practices, which were released last
month, are intended to help public leaders and communities
develop best practices for responding to encampments on public
land using All In: The
Federal Strategic Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness. Each
of the 19 strategies in the guidance include examples of action,
federal funding opportunities, and technical assistance resources
for implementing the strategies. The strategies are broken up
into six categories: Equity, Collaboration, Data & Evidence,
Crisis Response, Housing & Support, and Prevention. Interested
