Volunteers Needed for State Controller’s Advisory Committee on Accounting Procedures

The State Controller’s Office (SCO) is soliciting CSAC’s assistance with recruiting qualified candidates to fill two impending vacancies on the SCO’s Advisory Committee on County Accounting Procedures (Committee).

The Committee, established under Government Code §30201, is responsible for reviewing and approving county accounting and reporting procedures before the Controller prescribes them in regulation and meets in person or by teleconference one or two times annually. The Committee structure consists of ten members (five County Auditors or county officers in equivalent positions, three County Administrative Officers, and two County Supervisors) whom the State Controller appoints.

Recommendations are currently being sought for the positions of County Auditor-Controller and County Supervisor.

If you are interested, please submit a resume or biography to Eric Lawyer at elawyer@counties.org and Stanicia Boatner at sboatner@counties.org no later than June 12, 2024.  This material will be passed on to the State Controller’s Office for consideration as a member of the Advisory Committee on County Accounting Procedures.
