EMS agencies have an opportunity to secure grants for planning and demonstration projects.

Background: The Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) is a federal grant program which provides funding to county projects and supports projects that enhance roadway safety, especially active transportation infrastructure. Project grants are broken into two types:

  • Planning and Demonstration Grants: These fund projects that support local efforts to create Comprehensive Safety Action Plans, including supplemental safety planning and demonstration activities to inform an Action Plan.
  • Implementation Grants: Funding to support projects or strategies identified in an existing Action Plan.

Webinar: This one-hour webinar session on Wednesday, March 19 at 11am PT will explore how EMS agencies can apply for SS4A funding independently or collaborate with local municipal and regional transportation partners. Rural communities are especially encouraged to learn more about the upcoming funding round to address their unique needs in areas of roadway safety. Attendees will also hear from a current SS4A award grantee who will share insights and helpful tips in applying for SS4A grant funds.
