$136,764.48 – $192,441.48 Annually

Description:

The Contra Costa County Administrator’s Office is seeking one (1) talented individual with a strong work ethic and desire to improve local government and its communities. Deputy County Administrators serve as key members of a professional management team. The primary assignment for this position will be to support the administration of the County’s Measure X, a half-cent sales tax that generates approximately $120M annually to support crucial health, emergency response, safety-net, and essential county services.

Qualifications:

Possession of a valid California motor vehicle operator’s license. Out of state valid motor vehicle operator’s license will be accepted during the application process. Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A degree with a major in business or public administration, public policy, social or behavioral sciences or a closely related field preferred. Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible full-time experience, which involved professional level managerial, fiscal, personnel, administrative or analytical work. Public sector experience preferred. At least one (1) year of which must have included lead responsibility.
