Description:

THE POSITION: Under general direction, assists the Environmental Health Director to plan, organize, and improve the programs of the Environmental Health Division of the Health Services Agency for Santa Cruz County; to provide highly complex staff assistance to the Director of Environmental Health and to do other work as required. May act as the Director of Environmental Health in their absence.

Qualifications:

Three years of progressively responsible experience in the environmental health field including two years of experience as a supervisor or manager. Possession of a valid certificate of registration as an Environmental Health Specialist issued by the State of California, Department of Health Services. Possession and maintenance of a valid California Class C driver’s license. May require working irregular hours, such as responding to emergency calls and attending after hours and/or weekend meetings.
