Description:

The Sacramento Metropolitan Cable Television Commission (SMCTC) is seeking a dynamic leader with extensive management experience working in government or similar private organization to lead the team. The Executive Director will work up to twenty hours each week.

Qualifications:

• Be a hands-on, self-driven and results-oriented strategic leader who provides and encourages creative thinking

• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships

• Have experience in managing a public agency or similar private organization

• Ability to effectively and efficiently present items to an elected or similar body in a public meeting

• Effectively coordinate with a large Board of Directors

• Foster a work environment that encourages internal and external stakeholder trust and a commitment to customer service

• Oversee and direct administrative, budget and fiscal management, and personnel management activities

• Provide direction and guidance to agency leaders regarding organizational vision, strategic goals, and program initiatives

• Develop, modify, and implement policies and procedures to effect legislative and regulatory compliance and agency best practices

• Review policies, laws and legislation related to cable/video franchise issues

• Have exceptional analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

• Develop and communicate an effective marketing and outreach strategy to member agencies and the general public
