The County of San Mateo, Department of Housing, Housing and Community Development team seeks qualified candidates for the position of Financial Services Manager I. In general, the Financial Services Manager I will: Organize, direct, and coordinate the financial activities of the department. Assist in the development and implementation of program goals, policies, and priorities. Supervise, train, and direct assigned personnel. Coordinate a variety of financial and administrative support functions. Provide financial reporting and administrative support to senior level management.

Qualifications:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is: Education: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, auditing, economics or business administration or other field applicable to the responsibilities and abilities required by the position. Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible experience performing a wide variety of financial duties in a large, complex public agency.
