Description:

The Public Health Department is seeking a Full-Time Health Equity Coordinator located in Santa Barbara.

The person hired for this position will lead and facilitate trainings on health and race equity, develop and conduct an organizational assessment to help frame a health equity lens on Departmental programming and strategic planning efforts, develop and lead interdepartmental and cross-departmental equity initiatives, and work collaboratively with external partners and stakeholders to address the social and structural determinants of health.

Qualifications:

In order to be considered for this position, you must meet one of the qualifications below and outline how you meet the qualifications on your application:
Possession of a master’s degree in public health, public policy, public administration, social work, education or a related field; AND
a. Two years of experience providing professional-level program or administrative support to management, preferably in a health-care setting directly related to this assignment; OR,
b. A combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to one of the employment standards listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
