$95,180 – $142,771

Description:

Under direction of the Assistant Executive Officer, the Public Relations & Communications Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing multiple comprehensive public and media relation programs for the County. They serve as the public face for the organization to inform and engage the public regarding activities and services of County departments. A successful candidate possesses excellent communication, organizational and project management skills, and a deep understanding of the role of providing information to the public. The candidate will need to be able to perform well under pressure and have a strong commitment to setting and maintaining high standards that protect the image and identity of the organization.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree or higher in business or public administration, communication, or a closely related field; AND Four (4) years of managerial experience, specializing in complex professional-level organizational support, analysis, and community engagement * Additional experience as described above may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis DESIRABLE QUALIFICIATIONS In addition to the above minimum qualification, this recruitment will be screened on the below desirable qualification.
