The Development Services Division of the Public Works Department is offering an exciting career opportunity for a surveyor to join our team as Deputy County Surveyor.

The surveyor will assist the County Surveyor with review of Records of Survey, Corner Records, Parcel Maps, Tract Maps, and various Legal Descriptions including Lot Line Adjustments, Dedications, and Annexations being submitted to the County.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Examples of qualifying education and experience include: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field, AND five years of professional level public works, civil engineering, traffic engineering, or land surveying experience; OR Possession of a valid California Certificate of Registration as a civil engineer, traffic engineer, land surveyor or other special licensure AND two years professional civil engineering, traffic engineering, or land surveying experience. Licenses and Certificates: A valid CALIFORNIA driver license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.
