Description:

St. Helena desires a candidate who is a seasoned generalist with knowledge and experience in both long range and current planning. As such, the successful candidate will have a variety and mix of projects and opportunities to address planning related matters affecting the City. Out-of-State candidates are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of CEQA Guidelines, the California General Plan amendment process, and be familiar with the requirements of new State laws pertaining to housing production streamlining.

Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications for this position require any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for a Senior Planner. A typical way of obtaining the required qualifications is to possess the equivalent of four years of professional planning experience, including two years at the Associate level or higher, and a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban planning, regional planning or a related field.
