Description:

The Human Services Department (HSD) seeks a skilled professional to lead their In-Home Support Services Public Authority program! Starting salary up to $63.88/hour ($133,325/year), plus a cash allowance of $600/month, and a competitive total compensation package!* The PA Manager will provide support to new and existing IHSS providers and maintain a healthy list of available providers at all times. They will also be responsible for expanding caregiver support efforts and workforce development to the broader community through the Sonoma County Area Agency on Aging. The PA Manager will use strategic thinking skills to assess what currently exists within the program; analyzing gaps, recommending options for improvement, implementing strategies, and researching and managing ongoing effectiveness.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for caregiving, have experience overseeing high level programs, will help foster community relationships, and possess: • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field is highly desired, but not required • Excellent oral, written, and listening skills with the ability to lead, direct, and motivate staff • An understanding of effective leadership principles and the ability to actively engage with employees, clients, and community members • Strong public speaking skills, and the ability to effectively represent the program at the state and local level, as well as in a variety of public settings • The ability to remain calm under pressure and to exercise sound judgement in critical situations
