Contra Costa County – Public Works Department is hiring four (4) Vegetation Management Technicians within the Maintenance Division! Technicians work across diverse environments, including rural, riparian, suburban, and flood control areas, performing vegetation management and general maintenance duties, such as spraying vegetation at County facilities. Ideal candidates are motivated, team-oriented individuals committed to serving the community and eager to grow professionally. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: -License: A valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License is required. An out-of-state license will be accepted during the application process. -Certificate: Must obtain and maintain a Qualified Applicator Certificate from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation, certified in categories A, B, C, D, F, and G, within nine (9) months of hire. -Experience: Requires two (2) years of full-time experience (or equivalent) in noxious weed eradication and vegetation management.
