Description:

The County of Lake is seeking an effective Lake Manager with a strong background and/or education in limnology to serve as the Water Resources Director. Under the administrative direction of the County Board of Supervisors, this position provides top-level strategic guidance and scientific oversight for the Water Resources Department.

The individual selected for this position will have the opportunity to develop and implement both short and long-term studies, goals, and management objectives for Clear Lake and watershed, as well as streams, reservoirs, and other bodies of water in the County.

Qualifications:

An ideal candidate will have:
1. a Master’s Degree in limnology, hydrology, hydraulics, water resources management, aquatic biology, or a directly related field AND
2. at least five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in limnology, hydrology, water resources management, or a directly related field AND
3. two (2) years of supervisory/management experience with at least one (1) year in a management capacity. AND
4. Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid California Driver’s license.
