CSAC’s Corporate Program a “Win-Win”
CSAC officers and staff had the pleasure this week to meet with the Steering Committee members of our Corporate Associates Program. These regular meetings are a great venue for sharing ideas and planning for the future. CSAC receives insight from leaders in a variety of industries, including utilities, health care, communications, finance, construction management, human resources, and high-tech. In turn, our private-sector partners are able to learn more about county government and its complexities. We see each other not as entities, but as people working to better our communities. It’s a win-win.
Our corporate partners, nearly 70 strong, play an important role in our Association. Beyond providing us with valuable private-sector perspectives, they also support CSAC financially through sponsorships and our Annual Meeting Exhibit Hall. This, in turn, allows us to keep our meeting registration fees down and provide other useful member services.
We look forward to another productive year with our corporate members. Led this year by Bryan Barr, senior governmental relations representative for Pacific Gas & Electric, Co., our program continues to be a valuable part of our Association.
Public-private partnerships are becoming increasingly vital as we move forward into this new era of governance. Our corporate program is another example of how — working together – we can make a difference.
