Counties Shine in Sustainability Videos
San Diego, Sonoma and Yolo Counties shine as Supervisors and county staff spotlight their local sustainability activities in short videos produced by the Institute for Local Government.
Hear San Diego County Supervisor Greg Cox, Sonoma County Supervisors Valerie Brown and Shirley Zane, and Yolo County Supervisor Matt Rexroad talk about their counties’ leadership in embracing sustainability. Each describes local efforts to connect economic vitality with sustainability and their participation in the statewide recognition program, “The Beacon Award: Local Leadership toward Solving Climate Change.”
The videos are part of ILG’s new sustainability video library that features over forty short videos about local agency efforts to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Counties are welcome to include links to the videos on their websites.
The Institute for Local Government is the non-profit research affiliate of the California State Association of Counties and the League of California Cities. Its mission is to promote good government at the local level with practical, impartial, and easy-to-use- resources for California communities.
