AB 88 Veto Letter
Sales & use tax exemption for energy or water efficient home applicances.
AB 88 would create a loss of revenue totaling more than $4.5 million statewide for the next 5 years. The bill would exempt from state and local sales and use taxes an energy or water efficient home appliance purchased by a public utility that is provided at no cost to a low-income participant in a state or ratepayer-funded energy efficiency program.
