Celebrate Best Practices During National County Government Month
March 29, 2017
National County Government Month (NCGM), held each April, is an annual celebration of county government. Since 1991, the National Association of Counties has encouraged counties to actively promote the services and programs they offer. Counties can schedule activities any time during the month. NCGM is an excellent opportunity for your county to highlight effective county programs and raise public awareness and understanding about the various services provided to the community.
This year’s NCGM theme is Brilliant Ideas at Work, which is consistent with NACo’s 2016-2017 Presidential Initiative. To learn more about how your county can participate in National County Government Month, click here.
CSAC will be participating in National County Government month by kicking off our 2017 Challenge Awards, which spotlight the innovative work of California Counties. This year our annual awards competition will feature new entry categories. Call for entries will be mailed out in early April.
We will also continue to roll out our videos and blogs featuring county best practices.
