Coachella Valley Water District v. Howard Jarvis Taxpayer Association (E081996)
CSAC filed an amicus brief in this case to emphasize two points. First, the court must apply the Government Claims Act to claims for refunds of water and other similar fees that are challenged under Prop. 218 or Prop. 26. Second, that there is no refund remedy for a Prop. 26 violation. CSAC’s brief was drafted by Claire Collins and Julian Viksman of Hanson Bridgett in San Francisco.
