CSAC has filed a brief supporting San Diego County’s request for US Supreme Court review of a case that raises the issue of the appropriate legal standard for evaluating medical care claims brought by pre-trial jail detainees. CSAC’s brief urges the Court to grant review given the split of opinion among the Courts of Appeals on this issue.
