Crescent Trust v. City of Oakland (S280234)
This California Supreme Court case addresses a Subdivision Map Act issue: whether antiquated subdivision map lots must be recognized based on mere reference in a deed. CSAC’s brief, authored by RCRC General Counsel Arthur Wylene, argues that answering that question affirmatively, as the Court of Appeal did here, would create an innumerable amount of heretofore nonexistent parcels without city or county planning for vital public services and contrary to local zoning regulations.
