Breaking the Cycle: New Directions in Preventing Domestic Violence Symposium
Imagine a world without domestic violence. Now be part of the solution. The California State Association of Counties, in partnership with the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence, and with the support of the Blue Shield of California Foundation, presents a one-day symposium on batterer’s intervention on Friday, November 15 from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm in Sacramento, CA.
Studies suggest that repeat domestic violence occurs in 40 to 80 percent of domestic violence cases. Effective batterer’s intervention can reduce this rate and deter domestic violence.
At this symposium, attendees will hear from experts about the
state of batterer’s intervention in California; promising
practices occurring in counties; a trauma-informed approach to
batterer’s intervention, and the current state of research and
data collection.
