June 17, 2019
The CSAC Institute for Excellence in County Government held its first class today at its newest satellite campus in Santa Cruz County.
Today’s course, “Storytelling and Other Practices in the Art of Persuasion,” is being taught by Institute Dean Bill Chiat. It is the first of a list of 10 courses, with one course being offered each month for elected officials and senior staff in Santa Cruz and surrounding counties.
“We are very pleased to welcome the CSAC Institute for Excellence in County Government for a two-year satellite campus here in Santa Cruz County,” stated Supervisor Bruce McPherson. “We have partnered with CSAC to deliver high-quality education and training for our Leadership Academy, expanding our capacity to lead and govern in complex times.”
Now in its 10th year, the CSAC Institute had expanded to five campuses around California; Sacramento serves as the main campus, with satellites in Orange, Shasta/Tehama and Tulare counties, as well as Santa Cruz.
