CSAC Institute Rolls Out Summer-Fall Course Schedule
The CSAC Institute for Excellence in County Government has released its Summer-Fall Course Schedule that includes nearly 40 classes at campuses around the state. During the semester, county elected leaders and senior staff can find courses being taught in Sacramento, Contra Costa, Shasta/Tehama, and at new campuses in Orange and Tulare starting in September.
The Institute will also be featuring two new courses: “How to be Human at Work” taught by one of Dr. Laree Kiely, one of our most popular instructors; and “Resiliency: Build an Organization to Recover, Adapt and Sustain,” conducted by CSAC Dean Bill Chiat.
Other topics being taught during the semester will range from leadership and financial management, to capital improvement planning and financial reporting.
A pair of two-day courses will also be featured in the upcoming semester. “Realignment 101: The Basicis of 1991 and 2011 Realignments” is set for Sept. 27-28, and “Performance Measurement and Management: Accountability for Results” will be held on Dec. 13-14.
The Institute will return with its ever-popular Emerging Issues series on Nov. 9 — this time examining and discuss autonomous and connected vehicles.
