CSAC Joint Sea Level Rise Planning Statement
The California Coastal Commission, the California State Association of Counties, and the League of California Cities together have agreed on the following joint statement of guiding principles, opportunities and challenges associated with proactive and effective sea level rise adaptation for California’s coastal communities. CSAC’s Board of Directors adopted this statement on November 19th, 2020.
The statement focuses specifically on what the three entities, while working together, can do to address sea level rise in coastal California, specifically relating to Local Coastal Program (LCP) policy development, adaptation planning, and project decision making.
