CSAC Moves Annual Meeting to Virtual Format; New Conference Dates Set
August 13, 2020
With uncertainty over how the COVID-19 pandemic will impact our lives throughout the rest of the year, CSAC has made the difficult decision to go virtual for the Association’s 126th Annual Meeting that was set to be held in Los Angeles County. All scheduled meetings and events will now be held online, allowing CSAC members to learn, network and participate in Association business in a safe setting.
“The health and safety of our members are paramount,” said CSAC President and Orange County Supervisor Lisa Bartlett. “Instead of canceling our yearly gathering altogether, we are grateful for advances in technology that will allow us to provide a dynamic, educational and collaborative virtual conference.”
CSAC’s Annual Meeting will also be moved up a few weeks in order to be held before the Thanksgiving holiday. The program is tentatively set to start on Thursday, Nov. 12, and conclude on Thursday, Nov. 19, with the Board of Directors meeting and swearing in of our 2020-21 officers.
This year, you’re in the director’s seat, determining which virtual sessions, policy committee meetings and networking events you’ll attend. By holding the conference over a week, we’re eliminating concurrent sessions, so you can attend as many as your schedule and interest allow.
Registration is set to open in a few weeks with a tentative schedule of events. So mark your calendars with the new dates. We look forward to seeing you virtually in November.
