CSAC has filed a brief in the First Appellate District on the issue of whether a plaintiff has standing under Code of Civil Procedure section 526a to challenge a local government’s vehicle impoundment procedures where plaintiff’s vehicle was never impounded and she paid no assessed ad valorem property taxes in the city.  The amicus brief was prepared by Thomas Brown and Matthew Visick at Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP in Oakland.
