Pasadena Police Officers Assn v. City of Pasadena (B275566)
CSAC filed an amicus brief in this case addressing when attorneys’ fees are available in so-called reverse Public Records Act cases. The brief argues for a reasonable standards in cases like this one in which the court concluded that the city reached the correct conclusion on which documents were subject to release and the only action the court required the city to take was to further redact four documents. In such circumstances, CSAC argues attorneys’ fees should not be available. The brief was drafted by Hongdao Nguyen at Best Best & Krieger in Irvine.
