This week’s Profiles in Leadership spotlights Colusa County Supervisor Denise Carter. Appointed to the Colusa Board in 2008, Supervisor Carter is currently serving her third four-year term in office. During that time, she has represented California Counties at both the state and federal level. She has represented Colusa County on the CSAC Board of Directors for a number of years and currently serves as Chair of the Association’s Housing, Land Use and Transportation Policy Committee. Supervisor Carter also represents California as a member of NACO’s Environment, Energy and Land Use Steering Committee. She is a strong advocate on a number of vital rural issues including agriculture, groundwater, flood protection, transportation and the environment.
