Public Safety Says “No on Prop 6″
Firefighters, Highway Patrolmen Join No on 6 Coalition
Leading public safety organizations representing California firefighters, highway patrolmen and emergency responders voiced strong opposition to Proposition 6, the ballot measure that would make the state’s bridges and roads less safe and jeopardize public safety.
“We oppose this dangerous measure because it would stop thousands of needed road safety repair projects all over the state, putting driver and pedestrian safety at greater risk,” said Doug Villars, President of the California Association of Highway Patrolmen.
